Kazuri Beads from Kenya-Magic Land of hot colors, fiery
sunsets, ocean blues, sandy plains, pounding hooves and spotted
shadows. This is the home of the original small and beautiful
Kazuri Beads hand made from earthen clay, fired and hand painted
by Kenya Women. They reflect the true beauty of Africa.
Kazuri Beads East - Kazuri - Handmade Ceramic Beads
- Wholesale & Retail Distributor
After the clay is brought down from Mt. Kenya each
bead is shaped by hand and subjected to several kiln firings
before it is finished. After the bead has gone from green
ware to bisque, it is then hand painted . The
bead is then fired again, glazed and re-fired in an electric
kiln. Unfortunately, electricity is often interrupted during
the process, which results
in loss of the entire kiln contents.
Kazuri Beads East is honored to be a part of empowering
these women by supporting their efforts, which also helps ensure
their ongoing success with this project. Thank you for your interest
in Kazuri beads and know that your purchase will help to create
additional jobs for women who are waiting for openings in the
workshop. And thank you for loving these beads as much as we
